Love This Little Washer

We purchased this Sidekick two years ago and have never regretted it. I use it more than I though I would. Its great for small loads that just wont work with other loads single items that must be washed separately and a new item that you want to wash before wearing but dont want to wash in the large washer. I also like that since its a pedestal I can put a laundry hamper on it to put clothes in or take them out of the main washer. Im tall and need the extra height. The only complaint I have is you have to dry it after use which isnt hard to do and leave the lid open for a few hours to ensure the whole thing dries out or it will get mildewy. The good news is if this does happen it has a tub wash feature.

It worked well for a week and then lost all power. The repair team came out two weeks later. It powers up now but still flashes the E 7 code with the button correctly pushed in. So it still does not work.

The washer was mostly ignored for three years. And then it was delicately treasured and simply great this year. And then in its greatness the latch snapped during a handwash cycle. Then I found out that no one repairs the LG pedestal washers.

I bought this and its been nothing but a nightmare. There is some sort of hose that is designated for each unit and this unit didnt have one. After going 44 days with no washer I finally returned it and will just get a regular bottom.

Sidekick is perfect for a family

This is the second Sidekick we purchased as the new homeowners recognized our LG appliances in our laundry room when we sold the house and put them in the contract as a condition of sale. We love having the option to put intimates or small loads into the Sidekick allowing us to shorten our time in the laundry room while the big LG washer concentrates on all the kids clothes bedding and towels. The sidekick is quiet and does a great job making sure clothes are clean. The sidekick is also perfect for the clothes found around the house while cleaning and you dont want to interrupt the big LG washer. Just drop these in the Sidekick select the type of wash and let it work The extra large LG dryer makes it a breeze to combine laundry from the big washer and Sidekick for drying. The hand wash setting on the Sidekick is great for laundry needing a gentile touch. Yet the sidekick also has setting to take on tough jobs like your kids shoes and sportswear. It will easily clean dirt grime and of course sand and other stuff your kids bring in. The Sidekick is definitely worth it for growing families And since the Sidekick supports the large washer it effectively is your large washers pedestal with a drawer to wash clothes. Love this for fitness gear

Been using for a month now and so happy I bought this as part of our new wash system. Is perfect for smaller batches of fitness clothes that dont warrant a full load or to run an extra load while the main machine is being used. Quiet and easy to use. Wish there was a place to store the little blue detergent measurer as it is too easy too misplace but that is my only complaint.

This is my 3rd sidekick. Moved twice and had to leave both times. Each time the person buying the house insisted. New house so # 3. It is a major time saver small loads that have to hang to dry can be done at the same time as regular loads. When the kids 1 team stuff has to be washed that night for use again tomorrow do it in the sidekick and save water and energy. I love this little machine.

Not practical

The thought of this is great. Its nice for people who want a separate place to wash things away from the main tub. I learned though very quickly that the idea wasnt complete because without two dryers they ultimately even if not at once will share a tub again. Ive only used this five or so total times. I wouldnt purchase again or recommend. A simple pedestal for storage has more value.

Great for small loads alongside larger loads

Bought the pair washer and dryer and this sidekick washer to replace a 23 year old Sears set that finally gave up. So far we have been very happy with this sidekick washer. It doesnt have a lot of modes but its sufficient for the small loads that we usually use it for. NOTE: Do not be fooled into thinking this will save water with small loads. Ive seen comparison tests that shows the full sized LG washer because of its AI weight/load detection capabilities actually uses less water for small loads than this sidekick. However this is nice to have when you have two different types of loads to do and you want to do them all at once. For example we often will do a normal load then put delicates or whites in the sidekick. My biggest complaint maybe my only complaint is with the black stainless finish. It looks great when new but is horrible over time It scratches very easily and once scratched it is impossible to get rid of the scratches. Had I known this I would have gotten white. If it were not for the very delicate finish I would have given this sidekick 5 stars.
