worked great in year #1, year #2 it started to fail - dishes on lower rack weren't getting clean. at 2.5 years it stopped cleaning the bottom rack altogether. no obstructions found, no error codes

purchased this dishwasher 4 years ago, and i've had nothing problems.
leak sensor i replaced twice, dishwasher still leaks. i was a huge fan of samsung, but this dishwasher cost me at the time $800 and now i'm going to have to get a new dishwasher, because this one should still be working, but it's not. thanks

have had the dishwasher now for 3 years. i never understood the saying "i would give it zero stars if i could" until now. during the first year, the racks started rusting and falling apart. year 2, the motor went bad amd a new one costs $300+ and now year 3 who knows why it wont run but its not worth a service call. we were so excited to buy a new home and get all new samsung black stainless appliances and ill tell ya, that was a mistake. customer service may be the only thing worse than the appliances themselves. never again. i will say its very quiet, especially now :/

after using it for only 2 years, the dishwasher is throwing a 3c error code with other non-associated symptoms. the technician cannot say for sure if it is the circulation pump failed or control board. both are several hundred dollar parts that could prove ineffective remedies. this, in addition to the labor cost makes it a very hard pill to swallow on repair instead of replace.
it makes it even worse that this is part of the matching black stainless color that is unavailable from other mfgs. so, now i have little choice of not matching the fridge, wall/oven, range, and range hood set. burned and will be unlikely to make the same mistake on my next kitchen design.

our dishwasher is going on 4 years old. we love it but i notice that the black coating is peeling off under the handle. i hope it doesnt happen anyplace else. our dishwasher is used once a day as we are an older couple. samsung says its not covered by warranty but it should not be happening and i would think they would want to fix it.

Overall a good machine that I've been using for 4 months and have basically been happy with it. Super quiet, cleans well, dries well, which is what I look for in a dish washer. Top "sponge" tray is a bit awkward and cuts down on tall glass space for top rack. Doesn't really seem necessary. The top glass rack could roll smoother and be a little more substantial, doesn't feel like it it will be durable long term but only time will tell.
There is a rubber "cover" on the kick plate which is flapping around but is not critical to use, and I have been too busy or should I say lazy to re-secure in place : )

we recently purchased a new home and the prior owner had replaced all of the kitchen appliances a year earlier. i generally love samsung appliances and for the most part i like the dishwasher. but the lower tray is a challenge. the row closest to the front when you pull it out is unusable. the spacing between and the slant of the prings makes it impossible to put anything there except small plates. is it possible to replace this tray with one that is better designed?

total waste of $700! we got 13 months use out of it and then it broke. had homedepot (place of purchase) send tech out. tech told us this is a huge issue on all these models. the control panel was fried. the dishwasher won't even power on.(yes everything has been tested) the homedepot tech told me to contact samsung & have them send a certified tech to fix the issue, which is covered under the 5 year limited warranty. i did that and it's been a month now & we keep getting the run around. there's only one certified tech in the area who keeps denying to do the warranty work. samsung won't stand by the warranty unless a certified tech diagnoses the problem but they won't send a tech out to diagnose it. samsung will not (repeat) stand behind their warranty.

15 months after buying, the door latch broke. cost $100 bucks to fix. two months after that the main computer died. they wanted another $350 to fix. this dishwasher lasted not even a year and a half.

I had this for a little under a year and it wouldn't power on. It was near holidays so I didn't call repairman bc it was in a separate guesthouse not being used. Long story short, it was past year warranty so I paid full price to have someone come and take a look at it. He flipped a breaker and messed around with it and it magically turned on. After being asked if I knew how to flip a breaker I told him I had and it still didn't work. I advised that there must be something wrong. He insisted it was just a breaker. Anyway it worked for 2 weeks and then it started working intermittently, sometimes it would power up sometimes it wouldn't. Now I can't get it to power up at all. I have tried breaker but to no avail. I really don't want to pay couple hundred dollars to be talked down to again. I wouldn't buy this machine. It's beautiful but doesn't work. I would love Samsung to stand by their product.

I bought this dishwasher on Black Friday 2017, but due to holidays and vacation, we didn't install until January 2018. Within 1 year, the dishwasher would no longer power on. If you kick the breaker, it would power on, then after a couple of weeks - nothing. Samsung agreed to a one-time service extension. Repair man, installed a lot of new parts. Well, 3 months later - same thing. No power, kick the breaker it works. So, after paying almost $800 for a dishwasher, I am dumping it!

I bought it 3 month ago and VERY REGRET about that purchase!!! I haven't read all bad rewievs before, just now. DON'T have any dishwasher for 3 weeks because my brand new expensive dishwasher doesn't work properly and technicians from authorized center can't help quickly. Hard to imagine the problems that will arise after 2-3 years of using it (if it will work at all).

We purchased this dishwasher approx 14 months ago, and we love it up until it stopped working. Out of the blue it would just shut off during the wash cycle, and the only way to get it to drain would be unplug from the outlet for a bit, plug in, and power on. Come to find out the repair man inspected it and stated the controller board was going out. A $350 to $400 fix! No thanks! Am VERY disappointed with this product.

We bought the entire kitchen appliance set just under a year ago. The dishwasher had to be replaced after 30 days. It stopped turning on, the main board with the controls went out. Samsung couldn't repair it. We had to get a replacement unit. Then within a few months the replacement unit had the same issue, it wouldn't power on! Randomly about a week later the unit powered on and started to work again. Then a few more months went by and the drain pump stopped working and it flooded the kitchen. Again, no repair service available. Samsung has been a nightmare to deal with. I've had to wait up to 40 minutes to speak with a representative and have been without a dishwasher for weeks. I will never buy Samsung again. They should stick with cell phones.

I got this dishwasher last year. I love the trays and the easy to fold rack for my bigger dishes. My biggest disappointment is that I noticed the rack at the bottom is oxidizing , It looks gross!

I bought this dishwasher about 6 months ago now. I haven't had any issues at all. It does a great job cleaning everything. I like the storm wash feature. I do use it a lot for my pots. It gets everything off of them. The dishwasher is super quiet. I put my hand on the front after I press start to feel vibrations to know that it is on. I use the top rack/third rack but only for small lids or long flat utensils and I placed them strategically because I've noticed the things up there don't always get cleaned the best. I like the drying feature that pops the door open. My last dishwasher used to leave a lot of water on top on the cups, etc. This dishwasher dries a lot better. Overall, I'm very happy with this dishwasher. Also, I have the black stainless and it's very nice looking.

This is our second one of these dishwasher. We bought a suite of appliances for our condo and 1 month later we were selling it since we put an offer in on a bigger place. We purchased a second set of samaung appliances and absolutely love them. The black stainless is amazing and love the features for the price. The dishwasher is really quiet and there is plenty of room for all our dishes. It cleans really well and I love the features especially the door popping open to allow the dishes to dry more via the air.

Upgraded our kitchen last year with black stainless. Love the appearance however it scratches too easily! Would have went with a different finish had I known about the ease of it scratching. Functions well and looks nice.

Bought this dishwasher a few months ago and it has never worked properly. Multiple calls and repairmen visits later I was slated for a replacement unit. That was three weeks ago. Despite nearly daily calls to the samsung warranty department all I am told that someone will call me in 1-2 days... I have yet to be contacted. The worst part is that there has been an inch of foul smelling dirty dish water in the unit for a month that I am unable to drain because it is broken. The foul smell hits me every time I go into my kitchen and reminds me of the frustration of dealing with the samsung customer service department.

We bought this as a matching set. The stove, fridge and microwave. Everything has had issues but the dishwasher is junk. It stopped working after just a few washes but we just unplugged it and then it was fine. Now, 1 year later it stopped working mid cycle and will not power back on. We had a cheapo dishwasher that worked for like 10 years without issue and this thing breaks after 1. I wish I would have read the reviews better. I will never buy Samsung again.

Just purchased from bestbuy. When I run it, at the very beginning of the cycle it makes a series of very loud vibrating noises, which occur 2-3 more times throughout the wash cycle Is there a way to resolve this without having to return it? Is this normal?

It did a fantastic job cleaning dishes and has nice features. But then the door wouldn't close. And it still doesn't close. And the internet is filled with reviews of similar problems. The model dw80 seems to have an incredible amount of complaints. Since the Samsung website had a lot of positive reviews I use that as a basis of my purchase. I should have looked at third party websites first.
